Married Joseph "Joe" Cleveland Barker,  November 05, 1905  Joe was born August 03, 1884 and they had four children

CHILD 1:  Lola Odessa  (May 17, 1908)
CHILD 2:  Alma Rebecca (July 22, 1912)
CHILD 3:  Naomi May (May 08, 1914
CHILD 4:  Lillian Venisa (April 29, 1918)

From the notes of Irma Plott:

"Mary and Joe were married by Dr. J. P. Jones at the home of the bride near Barker, AL.
There was a Post Office across Elk River in George Barkers store.  It is not listed on any map now.  They farmed for several years and later he carried Route 7 mail for several years.
In April 1908 a tornado destroyed their home.  No one was injured and friends and relatives finished a new house the next day.  Their daughter, Lola Odessa was born the next month, May 17, 1980.
Joe Barker died with cancer when he was 52.  They broke up the home and she lived with the children for several years.  Last several years she and Naomi lived together.  When Naomi married she continued to live with them and died in their home.  Two of her daughters, Odessa and Alma had married and lived in Florence.  Lillian lived near by.
She was happy to visit them, but always happy to come home.  Letha Barker died with diabetes and mini strokes when she was 90.  They had 4 daughters to live to adults and several little ones who died in infancy."
